Default detailing shops

Does anyone know of any good detailing shops in the GTA?

I want to get a good machine polishing job done to get rid of swirls, imperfections and try to bring the paint back to more of its original shine. Every time i polish and wax it looks good for a bit but then goes back to how it always looks.

also will any shops just do that for me or will they make me get a whole package?

I'm also looking for the same thing....anyone??
Also, searching the forum, some people have recommended Grand Prix Auto Detailing (Vaughan), Maximum Car Detailing (Toronto east), and the Auto Spa (Mississauga)...has anyone actually gone for exterior detail work to any of these places?

Thanks

I'm thinking not more than a couple hundred...swirl marks and holgrams caused by the dealer is driving me insane.

I'm just looking for a decent place that will compound and polish it up. If I didn't live in a condo, I would just buy a dual action polisher and do it myself...sigh.

Thanks for the tip! I have another lead in Mississauga, if it doesn't pan out I'll give Pfaff a call...

good luck, u can usually do the detailing yourself, its not that hard, tools and pastes will run u about 130 bucks at most and u can detail like 10 cars with it

ive gotten pretty good with it, i even detailed a few cars and made a couple hundred bucks from it. tedious work though, but its fun for me

look it up on youtube, theres alot of videos showing you how to detail your car, stay away from the green turtle wax paste tho, if it gets in cracks it becomes a pain to get out

Thanks, one day I'll be able to tackle it myself. I've done a ton of research on detailing and have bought a whack of products as well...the problem is that I can only hand polish for now and trying to get swirls and other defects out by hand will take forever and/or will make my arm fall off....I live in a condo so buying a dual action polisher to deal with it myself is just not feasible right now, so I gotta cough up some cash and hire it out

yhea, i remember when i used to live in a condo, it sucked cause washing the car was a pain too, u could always go to the carwash places and use their outlets, but thats ur choice. i just would not pay a shop hundreds to detail my car lol

Hey guys,

I just bought a used 2008 Audi TT and the colour is "Brilliant Black" which I assume is a fancy word for Very Black Black.

Anyways......as you may know, black has an arch ******* and his name is "Swirls". The previous owner took care of the car but didn't know the importance and benefits of "DETAILING" as apposed to a car wash.

I made an appointment for Monday (July 11 2011) and requested the following custom package;

Wash, Clay Bar, Polish, Sealant, Wax.....

Keep in mind these steps are supposed to provide you with showroom finish and shine that looks better than when the car was driven off the lot. This is the kind of complete detailing that is completed once maybe twice a year.

I am only concerned with exterior and no work will be done on the inside. I am in the Toronto area and will take many pictures (before and after) and post them with a report. My cost will be $250 for all the mentioned services. Stay Tuned.
