Would you be debadging if you had an S4/RS4/S5/S6/RS6/S7/S8/TTS?

Yea i actually saw it on a b6 s4 and it made the rear end look a lot cleaner and it gave it a wider look. I am just wondering if other people have done it and regret it. And to answer your question, i am not trying to hide the fact its an a4 and try and make it something its not. I just want to clean it because i have a lot of the car blacked out.

Personnally I like the debadged look and I had done it on my Mercedes 7-8 years ago. Then some people made comments that it looks like you had an accident and were too cheap to put the badges back... Actually, this is exactly what my father did after fixing the rear of his A4 Avant.

On my S4 I kept the S4 (I was proud of it) and even added a 4.2 Quattro badge from an A8...

On the TT, I painted the audi ring black and replaced the TT with a "Tourist Trophy TT" badge instead just to be different. I also changed my rings in the front.

I don't think there is a good or bad answer on this. If you like it do it. It is nice to have your car personalised to your taste.

When you do it could you let me know if you notice if the paint color underneath the badges seems different? I've considered debadging as well due to peeling chrome on the badges but was worried that you would still see where the badge was because the paint under them won't have faded like the rest of the paint.

Under a very specific angle, I can see a very subtile reflection and can tell the TT is missing. My friend that work at a body shop had told me to get rid of it with a little buffering.

This is exactly how I got rid of the "marks" when I had debadged my Mercedes 8 years ago.

White barely shows, the silver on my Mercedes was showing a little more but not much.

On the other hand, I changed the decals on my boat many years ago and I have to buff it again every 2 years. I don't know if it is because it is gel coat and not paint or because of the red color. Red paint is terrible for fading in the sun and need very good protection.

So did you see any markings after you removed them? Was the paint faded at all?
I have a black avant and plan on doing the same but was worried about the black paint showing fade more than other colors.
