Is there anyone on the west coast (Lower Mainland British Columbia) that could either do this for cheap or rent me their VAG-COM cables?

Cheers
I have a VAG-COM / VCDS (full version) and can do it for you. I like Root Beer.

Hey there,

Thanks for the offer. The A4 I was looking at sold to someone that offered more than me, but I'm looking at a couple others. I'll have a case of root beer ready if I get one.

Thanks,
Johnny

The more I read, the more I suspect my DRLs aren't configured right. -

I imported a 2004 A4 3.0L from the states over a year ago. The toronto audi dealer charged me $400+ to activate DRL. However, the DRLs on my car are the fog-lights, not the head-lights. Also, the green symbol looking like a pair of lights is permanently illuminated on my dashboard. Is this right?

I suspect there has been a mistake, b/c day or night, my dashboard looks the same. I often don't even realize that I haven't turned on my headlights at night. I doubt owners of Canadian Audi's are deal with the same setup.

Please advise.
