Common problems? 2006 a4 2.0T quattro
Hello everyone.
I am looking to purchase a 2006 a4 2.0t quattro, manual transmission.
The car has around 77k and I am wondering what common problems are around this mark and what would the common repairs be as the vehicle approaches 100k.
Info on the types of repairs and prices would be really helpful as well as any tips on what exactly to look for as potential give-aways when I test drive the car.
Thanks

the FSI 2.0T's ('06-'07.5) are bit of a hit and miss for oil burning (at least in VW GTI's), some of them don't burn a drop, others chew through a quart every 1-2,000 kms.

I've got an '06 with 72k and it has been very good to me. Only real issue was a fuel gauge that stopped working.
Look for a regular maintenance history, these cars need to be well cared for to keep running. If neglected, they can end up costing you a fair bit of money. Also, there is a service interval at 85k that can cost between $750 and $1000 at a dealer.

B7 model common problems:
- every 50k clean intake manifold (FSI system)
- every 100k check lifters
- every 100k change timming belt
- they burn oil 'cause FSI system
- 90% of B7 cars after 100k camshaft follower is gone ( need camshafts, high presure fuel pump, etc ) so if u dont have warranty for u audi u have to rob a bank
