Default Coil Pack harness/connector

Hey fellas, i wen to change my spark plugs just yesterday, and when i got to the third coil, the clip for the harness/connector didn't want to un-clip, so i gave it a little more force 'cause the thing just won't come off, then the unwanted happened. the lock/clip broke off.

i connected the harness back to the coil pack and it fits snug there, just worried it might come off? anyone think this might wiggle off while driving?

i just think it's too much work and money if i went to rewire the harness with a new connector.

will it be fine without the little flimsy clip/lock on it?

one of mine was already broken when i bought my car and it hasnt come loose if your really worried zip tie it or use some electrical tape but if it fits snug i would just leave it.

those clips are pretty fragile, i have no idea why they're made that way..maybe so that they'll break and they'll make you go back to the stealership and replace them for a fortune lol..

anyway, try pushing it in some more then use a flathead and just twist it softly, don't force it or it'll break...or try using your finger and push the clip away from the coilpack, gently though.

by the way, did you get a letter in the mail about coilpack recall?

just stick the flathead in the little gap between the clip and plug and just sorta twist the screwdriver till you hear a click...

did your coilpack blow already?

it hesitates while driving or idle? i suggest you don't drive it.

turn it on and idle...then remove each coil socket one by one start with the first cylinder then work your way to the fourth one. for example, unplug the first one then see if it makes a difference, if not then plug it back in, then move to the next one, then so on until you don't see a difference.

it should get worse if you remove a working coil, and if it doesn't get worse then that's the coil that's blown.

make sense? lol sorry hope it helps, i'm trying to explain how i did mine haha
