Clutch on my audi a4
hey guys. Today i was out for lunch, just going to subway. And on my way there, i was with the audi in second gear, and from there i revved it up to 5000 rpms and man it went, and i pushed the clutch in quickly and did a smooth shift to 3rd gear and slowed down. Now. After that incident, the clutch hasnt felt the same as before. Its gotten stiffer right after that. And its sort of uncomftarble, before the clutch was perfect, it was nice and somewhat soft to my standards, and now it has gotten stiffer, but not tooo stiff, but stiff enough that i was able to feel it right away. What has happened? Did the clutch re-adjust its self??

Re: Clutch on my audi a4
Worse case would be one of the spring fingers has broken so the travel is less and stiffer. Are there any noises coming from the clutch area? If you put you car in 5th gear and try to accelerate briskl, does the speed and RPM increase uniformly or does only the RPM change - that would indicate some clutch slippage.
