childproof only 1 door?

whatsup guys 2003 a4 1.8 here

gonna start posting here more often.... anyway..is there a way to childproof only the pass rear door? i tried turning the key on the frame of the door, but i can't seem to get the rear drivers door to not be childproof... my kid is in a carseat on the pass side, so she won't be getting to the other door. its just kind of annoying when i have an adult behind me who cant get out.

Re: childproof only 1 door?

If the adult pulls on the door handle twice, does that open it?

Just checked on my B6 & B7- each rear door has an independent childproof mechanism so you should be able to leave only the driver-side rear disabled. The double pull is still needed if you as driver have not unlocked all four doors.

Re: childproof only 1 door?

Probably have to take the door panel off and check if a rod or cable has come loose or something then. The double pull is all mechanical.

:: a4mods.com - removing door panel - this link describes remvoing the panel on the driver's door but the other doors will all be pretty similar.
