Default Blew a shift, now troubles shifting

Hey guys, so on my way into work last night I was driving a little aggressively. At one point starting from a stop I accelerated hard through 1st then 2nd but missed the shift into 3rd, letting the clutch out too early. I did not hear the grinding with the engine noise but I'm sure it did. Once I reset the clutch and tried again (now decelerating) I could not go into any gear. Finally after a short time I got into 5th, then with some force got it into 4th and 3rd. Later in a parking lot I did manage to get into 2nd and 1st but it was forced and didn't feel "right". Now while stopped and the clutch in it shifts ok through the gears but when I go to move in 1st the clutch seems to grab a bit and the car jerks even if I let the clutch out as smooth as I can.
My worst fear, syncro's are shot - new tranny. Maybe damaged the clutch, but would that make getting in and out of gears hard?
I have little experience with transmissions, and this is my first 6 speed.
Any help or advice would be great. I plan on bringing it into my mechanic this week depending on the drive home in the morning. If it's real bad I'll bring it in when I get home.

if the clutch is grabbing funny and really jerky that sounds like chattering, like the dualmass flywheels messed up, if its hard to get into gear with the car stopped and the clutch all the way in chances are the clutch could have been damaged. with the car rolling slowly and the pedal pushed all the way is it any easier to get into a gear?

Thanks for the replies. I finally made the call to get it rebuilt. Found the third gear syncro damaged and 1st and 2nd sticking. Also the clutch needed replacing. Should get it back next week With a new syncro kit installed and S4 clutch with LWf. Looking forward to the new feel.

what kind of clutch did you go with? I'm looking for a clutch now that I've chipped the car, what did the synchro replacement run you? I might do that on mine depending on cost while the trans is out

I went with ECS's RA4 conversion kit. Comes with an OEM S4 clutch with ECS's own light weight fly wheel. Good price in comparison with other kits that hold the same power. My mods will carry me up to about 220-240 hp in the next couple years so this one fits. The S4 clutch is good to 250. Also went with JHMotorsports rebuild kit. $600 us, about $800 with shipping and tax to Canada. Upgraded syncos in first and second. There is a rebuild kit for the 5 speed that has their own inhouse upgraded syncros that they came up with. Looks good but they didn;t make them for the 6 speed for some reason.
It's going to be a steep bill but had no choice. Should be good now till she dies. I'll just be a little more careful on how I shift now.
