Default Bad Fuel Injector? Need Advice

Hey this is my first post and registered as I am looking for some advice

I am getting a check engine light in my 2003 audi a4 quattro 1.8L. I ran a cheap diagnostics tool and came up with some error codes. I searched online and these are the descriptions of the codes I came up with.

Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
Cyl.1, Injector Circuit Fault in electrical circuit
Fuel Trim,Bank1 System too Lean
Cyl.1 Misfire Detected

I am thinking that it is the Injector circuit fault that is causing the problem? I am not sure if I should troubleshoot the injectors or if it is a waste of time and I should take it into a shop and get it diagnosed properly. However I don't want to waste money either and I want to do what I can myself.

I should mention about a week before the engine started misfiring (sounding like it was going to stall) I changed the spark plugs. The check engine light was on so I changed the spark plugs and the light went away for a few days and then this started happening. I followed guides online to change the spark plugs and the only thing I may not have done correctly is gap the plugs because I bought plugs that are suppose to be pre gapped and it seemed like it might be difficult to change them ever so slightly. I measured the gaps of the new plugs and they were off only very slightly (.35 instead of .33 I believe)

My knowledge is limited and I am trying to learn as I go so I am not sure if the two problems are even related. I think perhaps the original reason the check engine light was on was because of the fuel injector error code.

Anyway I would like some advice from experience mechanics or who ever and would really appreciate that.

Thank you for your time.

Default Re: Bad Fuel Injector? Need Advice

I disconnected the wiring from the fuel injectors and did a Ohm test and one of them is different from the others which all seem to be around 12.6. So this means one of them at the least is bad so ordered some new ones. They quoted me 170 each or something ridiculous at one parts store but I called another and they say 33 dollars. Why such a big difference??

I am going to change all of them at once but would it be a big deal if I only did the faulty one? Just out of curiosity.
