B6 A4 Drivers Heated Seat Help!
 

Hey all!

Still fairly new to this forum, but enjoying my time browsing threads!

I seem to have a problem with the front drivers Heated Seat, It seems that the back, and butt do not heat up, but the sides on the bottom of the seat (I guess to heat your thighs) do work. I find it odd for two separate heat elements to go at the same time, also after some research I've come across two things:

1. You can buy replacement heating elements

2. Its virtually impossible to replace unless re-upholstering the seat, defeating your efforts (might as well find a seat from a wreckers)

Has anyone had any heated seat issues before and solved them? Is it possible there is a control module specifically for the back and butt that needs replacing, or perhaps a wire that has become disconnected? I haven't looked too much into it yet, but Id like to gather my best options before I plan to tackle it!
