Audi A4 with new rims and tires wanders
I just had my Audi A4 replaced with new rims and tires and when driving I get this weird wandering at around 140klms per hr although the car drives great, no vibration, no vibration in the wheel....it just seems to steer a different direction and I am always compensating.....could this be alignment? Sorry I'm a photographer not a mechanic

have you changed tire size when i switch from my winter 16 to 18s which are lower and wider mine wanders a bit the wide tire picks up the ruts in the road and kind of traks along them.

Yes i went from 16's to 17 and wider. Would an alignment help? I thought maybe that the wheels are not straight and fighting each other.....hmmmmm

I believe the term is called tramlining. Essentially the tires are trying to follow the ruts and grooves in the road and it feels like the car is fighting your steering inputs. Maybe this Tire Rack article will help.
