Hi every body.. I'm new on this nice forum and I speak french, so please excuse my poor english.. I think its a good place to find my answer so there we go..
I'm about to buy an Audi A4 3.0 quatro 2002 with 161000km.. the car is very clean and work good.. The only issu is at the idle the first time that a started.. the idle was doing some up and down..the guy said me to turn off the key, and restart to clear the problem, its suposed to be his O2 sensor,?? He will change them before selling the car.. So i turned off the key, restarted and that was all right(the idle was stable).. The tranny 6 speed work well, no shaking on the car, nice sound.. but I have a small fear for the 160000 km on this v6.. What do you guy think about this car for 9500$?? is it better the 1.8t? it will only be a week end car for me.. I love the sound of the v6 3.0 and 220hp sound perfect for me.. and I didnt find nothing about the v6 3.0 with the small up and down problem on idle....

I'm not to sure about the price but I have a 2003 3.0Sport & love it. It can be heavy on the gas in stop & go traffic but on the hwy I'm getting under 8L/100km. It's a smooth engine & would think a little more realiable then the 1.8T.

I bought the same car a couple months ago, 124 000 kms, I paid $8800 saftied. Great car, fun to drive. Ran into my first problem a couple days ago, there is some vibration/shaking in the engine. You can feel it at idle and when driving. I can't figure out what it is, so I will take it in tomorrow. Other than that, great car. See if you can talk him down on the price though.

ok good! for your vibration at idle, its maybe your coil pack?..is it like some small mysfire? ebay sell some kit..that sound cheap for 160$ but its brend new and it seem to be oem.. you can also clean your maf..and realigne your trotle body after.?

yeah maybe you motor mount too.. like rwd said..

I was thinking motor mounts. You can feel it when you clutch too though, usually you press the clutch and its very smooth, now you press the clutch, and theres the smallest vibration in the clutch as well. I will keep you updated.

I also have the same car. I'm at 115K and it caused me a bit of trouble between 90 and 110K, but it's been a good car. I like the 3.0 engine.

i am at 160k now with my 3.0 apart from coilpack recall and routine maintence it has been trouble free.(touch wood)
the v6 is a very smooth engine should be no vibration at all i had the plugs replaced at the same time as the coilpacks.

I got the car today and I love it.. very confortable and I like this small V6 Please that will go like that for a long time..I will take care of it(maintenance)
