Default ABS Light

Just wondering how to get rid of the ABS light from my 2000 1.8L T.....The shop is telling me that the sensor needs to be changed, which is going to cost around $300, but I am hoping that a fuse can be pulled, or some other solution......I hate ABS anyway, so I don't care if it works!
Thanks

I am also having the same problem and want to fix it in my A4 1.8T 1999 model. My ABS light is ON and the brake light next to it blinks continuosly.... Anybody have any idea of how to go about fixing it. Is the problem in the ABS unit or the control module underneath the rear seat?

Any ideas are welcome.

I have not tried to remove any fuses that would stop it from flashing.

Hey! I found this great website from which I could locate the actual problem with the ABS light. The ABS module which is attached to the ABS unit has a loose connection problem. To fix this problem visit this site: Êëóá ëþáèòåëåé VW Passat B5 - HOW-TO: repairing ABS unit (VW part nr. 8E0 614 111B) on VW Passat B5 it contains step by step information on how to cure this problem. Its from aVW website but its the same platform as the Audi A4 B5 series.

If you don't want to fix it then provide the link to your Mechanic and they will fix this problem.

I am going to attempt to fix it on my own and let you know if it got cured. i am sick and tired with the light staying on in my car's dashboard.

Coolio.
