On the B7's VAG-COM can be used to enable/disable that 3rd option. (It's called "Menu Guide" in the DIS options, Cluster Module 17, Adaptation Channel 019). Same might apply to the B6.

I have an '06 and I'm trying to figure this stuff out, even reading the manual... but I can't access the DIS because my windshield wiper arm has no toggle or reset button as the manual suggests... Anyone have any idea what the deal is there?

if you don't have a toggle switch on the end of the wiper control stalk then you don't have the trip computer option installed. This option can be retrofitted - search audizine.com and audiworld.com; lots of threads on this subject at those locations.

Super thanks!! I searched here but couldn't find anything I'll look into the retrofit; I was surprised as reading through the manual I couldn't identify anything that said it was specific to any option
