Hi All,
Just got my car recently and already have it out of commission for a week while the tranny gets dropped.

Problem I just had out of the blue while i was on the highway was trying to shift into 4th from 3rd (not driving hard at all). The gear would just not change for the life of it, so i had to coast off to the side and get towed.

At first i thought it might of been the slave so Precision Motorsport replaced it, but it didnt fix the issue. I hoping someone might have been through something similar before.

Heres some details:

-Stage 1+, with intake
-Stock OEM clutch tranny
-136k km
-Clutch pedal feels normal
-Excessive pulsing on the clutch pedal when pressed 1/4 way, No pulsing when pressed completely.
-If i put the car in 1st then start the car, it will jump and stall.
-Will go into gear only when the car is off. When its on, i cannot get into any gear.

Since the tranny is out I'm going to replace the pressure plate, flywheel, clutch, slave cylinder, shift fork and new flywheel bolts. Anything else i should consider?

In case anyone runs into the same issue, check your clutch.
Apparently, my clutch was diminished and it was causing the pressure plate to sit crooked.
My clutch fork was also in pretty bad shape.

So Is the car back on the streets?

That screams clutch, any pulsing in the pedal is typically caused by a dead clutch or a throw-arm/bearing is bent or going. I'm sure they put a new clutch in it and off it went unless something was really wrong.

Wow, with the exception of the pulsing, that sounded exactly like when the clutch slave went on my old B5 while I was out shopping for an engagement ring ;P

The pulsing is the indicator on this one that points to the clutch because a worn hydraulic system or worn or out of alignment shifter can also cause these symptoms.
