Removing and installing sump (bottom section)
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t Used oil collection and extraction unit -V.A.G 1782-
t Electric drill with plastic brush attachment
t Safety goggles
t Sealant → Parts catalogue
Removing
– Vehicles with auxiliary heater: remove bolts -arrows- securing exhaust pipe for auxiliary/additional heater to noise insulation.
– Release bolts or quick-fasteners -1- and -2- and take off front noise insulation.
– If fitted, release quick fasteners -3- and remove rear noise insulation.
– Place used oil collection and extraction unit -V.A.G 1782- under engine.
– Drain off engine oil.
Vehicles with multitronic gearbox 01J or automatic gearbox 01V:
– Remove retainer for ATF pipes (unscrew nuts -1- and -2-).
NoteTake care not to unscrew union nuts -3- for ATF pipes.
All models:
NoteTo prevent damage to the refrigerant lines, ensure that the pipes and hoses are not stretched, kinked or bent.
– Unbolt retainer for refrigerant pipe (right-side) from sump -arrow-.
NoteIllustration shows vehicle with manual gearbox.
– Unplug electrical connector -1- at oil level and oil temperature sender -G266--arrow- and move wiring clear.
– Place used oil collection and extraction unit -V.A.G 1782- under engine, because oil will drain out again.
– Unbolt sump (bottom section) -1- and remove it carefully.
Installing
NoteRenew gaskets and seals.
– Remove sealant residue from bottom section of sump and top section of sump with rotating plastic brush or similar.
WARNING
Wear safety goggles.
– Clean sealing surfaces; they must be free of oil and grease.
– Cut off tube nozzle at front marking (nozzle approx. 1 mm Ø).
– Apply bead of sealant -arrow- onto clean sealing surface of sump (bottom section) as illustrated.
l The bead of sealant should be approx. 1.5 mm wide.
Notet The sump (bottom section) must be installed within 5 minutes after applying sealant.
t The sealant bead must not be thicker than specified, otherwise excess sealant could enter the sump and clog the strainer in the oil pump.
– Fit sump (bottom section) and tighten all bolts initially to 5 Nm in diagonal sequence.
– Tighten bolts on sump (bottom section) in diagonal sequence.
– Fill up with engine oil and check oil level → Chapter.
Tightening torques
Component Nm
Sump (bottom section) to sump (top section) 10 1)
Bracket to sump 9
Oil drain plug 30
l 1) Tighten in diagonal sequence.
Hope all this Helps!!!!

Yes, Bentley looks like your pics.
Ross-Tech charges $100 for Bentley Manual as it includes immediate Web Access to data.
If you do not need immediate web access, buy Bentley from the bimmerzone link I posted earlier as it is the cheapest place on the Internet... $65.
