Hey, I'm pretty close to buying and 04 A4 Avant with a 3.0 and just want to know what the towing capacity is. I can't find it anywhere. I even called Audi and go a run around answer about what a class 1 or 2 hitch is rated for. What's the CAR rated for?

Any other tips I should know about this car before I buy it. It's a USA so I'd be importing it.

Well, the towing capacity is likely near

1500 kg

But check with your dealership to be safe.

I just purchased a Curt Mfg. hitch P/N 11164. Dosen't fit correctly. Dealing with their tech support to try and resolve the problem. Just an FYI in case you were considering one of those.
