Hi guys, nice forums!

I got a new used Audi and have been unable to get any cold air running even when on auto and the temp set to low, the econ button still stays illuminated. My problem is that I see no error lights on the dash to tell me something is wrong. How could I go about diagnosing this?

My A4 has musky smell when I turn on the air condition - what is the solution??
Should I turn it on full blast for 30 minutes to "clear it"? Is there a filter that I can replace myself? Please advise!

the econ light will stay lit all the time if the ac is low/out of the refrigirant gas.
just a simply recharge and you should be good to go

You seem to be out of refrigerant. Sure a charge will give you some time with air however keep in mind that the A/C system is a closed loop system. That means if you have low to no refrigerant you have a leak. You really need to find the leak and fix it first or you will always have loss of refrigerant. The automotive industry is unique in that they can use the refrigerant itself to locate a leak unlike the home/commercial industry. It could be something simple as an O ring or connection somewhere, but you should get a qualified automotive A/C mechanic to look at it.

agree with mikeh, get a recharge and tell them to put a dye in it. That way if your ac is not cold anymore within a few days then they can find the leak.
