16" rims for 2005(late 2004) a4-3.0
Hi,
Anyone using 16" audi rims on 2005 Audi A4(it's late 2004 model). Do we have enought calliper-rims gap with 16". I was told at service department that Audi A4 requires 17" wheel(my stock is 17"). According to audiwinter-dot-ca I can go for 16" too. Any advice ... Part Numbers 8K0-071-496-A -8Z8 Recommended Tire Size: 225/55 R16 95H *Not for S4 or A4 allroad. |

If you believe the sales brochure for the '05 A4 then 16" wheels were standard on all models with 17" wheels being options.

The 17" rims I believe were part of the "Sport" package. 16" rims are the OEM standard.
You should be fine with clearence on the 16" rims, unless you have modified the brakes. |

I'm not sure if this helps you but I have a 2003 B6 1.8T Q with standard suspension and I have 15" winter rubber mounted on steel rims. Clearance is fine for my standard brakes but does look rather goofy with aftermarket hub caps LOL! Works like a charm in the snow though. Go Quattro! :p
