1.8T Rough idle, Lean, Misfire all cylinders.
Hello
I have a 2005 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro 6 speed manual. I was driving to work one day, was almost there when I stopped at a red light and the check engine light started flashing and the car started shaking and idling very rough, RPM's were bouncing around between 400-1200 RPM's. As soon as I accelerated and started driving it was fine and the check engine light stayed solid instead of flashing. When I finally pulled into my work parking lot and stopped it started flashing again and idling horribly rough. I got it towed home and found 2 cracked vaccuums, one was a plastic 'Y' sort of shaped one and the other was a short little 90 degree plastic pipe off of my crankcase. Replaced both of those with no luck. Scanned the car and the codes were: System too lean. o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1 misfire cyl 1 misfire cyl 2 misfire cyl 3 misfire cyl 4 random multiple misfire I checked my MAF, appeared to be good, replaced my spark plugs, I havent replaced my o2 sensors yet because I have been told they would not cause such a problem? I tried unplugging them and it still does the same thing. Any ideas? Thanks, Garrett. |
