Default Window Regulator Problem. 2004 Audi A4 1.8TQ

Hi, this afternoon when I arrived home from the gym I tried to close my window and it started sounding like it was grinding and it refused to go up and it actually started going all the way down. I managed to manually pull the window back up and I haven't used it yet. It's the driver's window.

I did a quick search and it seems to be my window regulator, the motor seems to be working since its still rolling down. It's exactly like this YouTube - ‪Bad Audi A4 Window Regulator‬‏

Anybody know where is a good and cheap place I can purchase a driver side window regulator? I live in Vancouver BC Canada, I don't mind buying them online and shipping them to the states and picking them up if that saves me a couple bucks. I drive a 2004 Audi A4 1.8TQ.

Canada Parts Online | Auto Parts and Automotive Accessories in Canada Just don't get the dealer to install it! I was charged close to 700 for the part and install in the US when on a long road trip. Had the passengers side done for just over 200 at a local shop about two months later!!! Not that difficult to do on the front ones....if you are mechanical.

So it's the "right" for the driver window and not "left"? Just want to make sure I'm not purchasing the wrong side.

Okay thanks a lot, I kinda found it weird that it would be "right" for a driver side window. So right now my cart looks like this,

8E0837461C $148.00 $0.00 $106.56
Body hardware - Door - Front door - Window regulator
Window regulator, a4, left 2002 - 2008

is this the correct part for my vehicle?

I did a bit more searching and I found that Autopartsway.ca has it for cheaper and it ships to my house for free! 2004 Audi A4 Quattro Window Regulator in Canada - Canada 2004 Audi A4 Quattro Window Regulator Part Number: VDO1737318 Manufacturer: VDO

Is this the right part for me? It says OEM quality but it's not OEM, would you suggest me purchasing this one or the one from genuinevwaudiparts.com? The price difference is about $30 after shipping, is it worth it?

Hmm... that's really up to you, man. For me, personally, I would get the OEM part. For another person, the $30 savings might be worth trying aftermarket. I've purchased aftermarket taillight housings which fit like garbage, yet OEM taillights which were cheaper (on sale) fit perfectly! My only worry is that the aftermarket part doesn't fit perfectly... it's already a tight area and somewhat prone to failure, as you've realized.
