I want to put a chip in my 2005 A4 1.8T 6 speed quattro...where is the best place? How much would it cost? What other modifications need to take place?

i guess it will depend on how u drive the car . but again i am sure they would be more set up to answer ur questions as i have never had it done before. i bought the wrong car . a auto 3.0L

well lets start off with what chip you want...revo, APR, GIAC....i would stick to the APR or GIAC.

there are no damages persay to the car by chipping it, i highly recomend it...but are you going for stage one or plus one? where do you plan on going with the car in the future? ....

if your just looking for a store to do it youhave 3 options...

TappAuto did my A6 2.7t, took less than an hour, costed $400-$500 but I drove out with 70hp and 100lbs of torque more!! Got it chipped on 94 octane, but you can usually choose between 91,93,94.

why is their software cheaper than those giac/apr/revo

450 CND is really cheap I guess, I don't think I will find any chip that is lowere than 600 dollars.

 

I said the same..... the guy at Tapp Auto, he chips all the turbo cars here in Ottawa. It's basically all he does! My buddy did his A4, TT, and now his Subaru STI all there. He also has a dyno (front wheel only).

But yeah you won't find cheaper nor will you regret it! Trust me I'm a very happy camper!
Plus I originally got chipped at 92octane and wasn't satisfied with the gain (not that there was no gain I just wanted more) so went back the next day and just like he said he reprogrammed it to 94 octane free.

now she's a beast!!!!
