Question What is Audi hydraulic fluid?
I was cleaning my engine and I noticed this container that says hydraulic fluid. I'm curious what it is and how important is it.

Most likely power steering fluid.

I am pretty sure the power steering uses mineral oil, not hydraulic fluid. I believe the clutch and brakes would be using hydraulic fluid, no?

I have my owners manual in the car for a 1998 A4 - next time I go out I will check...

Everything I found quickly online says power steering...
