Help! my turbo is whistling. Worse when cold gets better as the engine warms. H2Sport tells me to keep driving it till it packs up all together. My Concern is will it take the engine with it? Is there an inexpensive fix short of a new turbo? Any suggestions will be welcome.

 

what kind of whistling are you hearing???

I am stage 1 chipped and my turbo whistles as well, but I thought that is what it's supposed to sound like! Should it not be making any noise?

 

your suppost to hear the turbo spooling depending if u have an intake or not it will get louder with an intake

 

It is a high pitched whistle changes with rpm. Car is stage one chipped. H2sport has the car now they opened the turbo and say the impeller is not as free as it should be, they think that is the cause.
Where abouts are you? I am in West Mississauga.
