What are your thoughts on a sprint booster?

For those who may not know what a sprint booster does; it modifies the electrical signal that goes to your car's computer to increase throttle response and improve the feel, basically eliminating the drive-by-wire lag.

 

i think it was worth the money on my 02 a4 3.0 tip you can for sure notice a difference,

it is supposed to be better on manual cars as you dont have the tourqe connverter lag as well.

i have the older style one, the new ones have 3 different settings for how fast they speed up the lag.

 

Do these things modify the electrical signal by milliseconds or multiple 10ths of a second. Do they know in advance that you are about to stomp on the accelerator?

I think that judicious awareness of the power band in your car i.e. ensuring that your RPM is somewhat "in the powerband" before stomping on it will provide greater "performance improvement" than any such device. My 2c worth.

I suspect a Stage 1 or higher ECU chip update would provide a lot more fun for the money.

 

Stage 1 or 1+ would be definitely more worth it than the sprint booster IMO

why would anyone driving an Audi without Dynamic mode not get a Sprint Booster? I have the following

AWE Quad Tips
3 stages of Sprint Booster = Fun all day long
