A Rumble in my A4

Hello everyone,
I have a 2003 A4 3.0 FWD cabrio that is rumbling when I accelerate lightly at around 40mph. If I let off the accelerator it rides smooth as silk and then light acceleration brings it right back. Does any one have any thoughts or experience with this?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts,
Denis

Forgot to mention that it has new tires and alignment is fine.

Have your drive-shafts and CVs checked!

i agree, also have a wheel balance & alignment done you might have a wheel out or a low tire.

I had the same thing and was surpised that it turned out to be a tire problem

Thanks guys for the suggestions. The tires were just put on, aligned and balanced. If I let off the gas or put it into neutral, the rumble goes completely away. This makes me think the problem has to do with the drive shaft. I will bring it back to the dealer asap. I have been out of town for the last week.
Thanks again,
Denis

Well the dealer has had the car now for 5 days with no answer. Not a good sign. But it is still under their warranty so better now then later.
