Default rough idle

anyone have an idea on where to go from here. 2002 a4 3.0
just started to stumble/rough at idle in park or drive,i have no loss of power no hesitation when driving,no cel . told the dealer about it when it went in for an oil change (like to keep my book up to date) only codes showing were for random multiple misfires. they changed all 6 coil packs under the coil campaign at no cost to me. it is still rough at idle, took the maf out and air filter gave them both a good clean
still no better.
goin to take it back to the dealer as they didn't fix the problem
but if anyone has any ideas in the meantime i would appreciate it
thanks sorry this is so wordy

Check out the seafoam thread and try doing that to your car, you should notice a difference.

Ok... i have 2007 A4 Turbo Quatro ... I have replaced the coils, done the seafoam, all under warranty. Still dealer says its normal. So I went out and bought Lucas Octaine Boost, and Wynns engine tune up. Put it in ....and it calmed down. NOt eliminated it but calmer now.
My only issue is i can't afford to do that for every tank full.

Look for the Idle bypass valve and inspect it.
EGR valve could also be the cause.
Google both, your symptom sure look like it.

Are you getting large RPM spikes along with this or just the roughness?

crankcase breather hose setup was screwed up it was not venting the pressure out the engine which was causing it to stall.

If it's the Kombi-valve (EGR), it's 200$ online.
