problem with acceleration

Hi guys

Im experiecing little hesitation in 3rd gear, 4th gear 5th gear 6th gear

while accelerating on highway.

I am speeding up with foot on gas, but it keeps going forward and pause and going forward...

I don't know about 1st gear and 2nd gear does this, because I don't rev more than 3k rpm with these gears.

However 3 to 6th gear, when I drive around ramp to drive in the highway and I accelerate til around 3.5~5k with 3+ gears, I start to feel this and this has been right after I got ECU Flashed (APR 1+)

B6 A4 1.8T Q6MT. APR 1+ .HX DV. Boosted Intake. 94500km
(Timing and water done 1500km ago and APR 1+ 1000km ago)

What could it be?

clutch?

and it feels like clutch is slipping when I drive on dead stop with slope (up hill) and I have to gas it little more.

Please let me know what the problem is

Thanks guys.

Re: problem with acceleration

if its slipping then u will see your rpms dropping while accelerating but it could be cylinders misfiring so i would sujest to just change your sparkplugs one or 2 could be fried and if not that lots of things could cause misfirng cylinders i just fixed this problem on my a4 couple months ago

Re: problem with acceleration

cylinder misfires = CEL! he didnt mention a CEL

Re: problem with acceleration

yeah no cell i doubt it

it is kinda wierd...hmm

I only feel this on highway when I floor it about 50~75% of full throttle.

heat soak?

really hot weather like today made feel really slow... with a/c on..

oh well another intercooler necess?

if your clutch is slipping, wouldn't your rpms go up with no speed gain? i don't think they would drop as caylen suggested...i could be wrong tho

I am experiencing a similar problem. Only noticable on the highway when I accelerate with 50% to 100% throttle. Some of my background:

1) occurred after the car was chipped (noticed slightly before chipping)
2) have tried different spark plugs with varying gap recommendations (best seems to be 0.28").
3) install a snub mount
4) replaced my fuel filter and injector seals

I do not get any CEL however I do occasionally get a small EVAP leak from Vag-Com (which I don't think is related). No other codes from Vag-com.

I have also had a thorough inspection of the front suspension and drive components as someone has mentioned that a cv joint might produce this sensation. Everything is good and tight.

Would be nice to solve this one. Would a boost leak cause hesitation or just a straight loss of power? I have yet to do a boost leak test but have logged my highway boost values (actual vs call) with Vag-Com and nothing seems to be out of the ordinary.

mmmm i say is either your turbo, or leak on intercooler, or need of tune
