Default oil light before start up

hey there i jus got a 2002 audi a4 1.8t 5 speed. when i have the keys turned to on(when the clutch warning comes up) after the clutch dissapears, a oil light comes on. the light shows the jug of oil and oil written underneath it. please help me i dont know if its a problem with oil pressure
also the light turns off once i start to drive

My engine light, and battery light are showing when I first put the key in the ignition. Once I start the car, they go away, and the display says "OK", which according to the manual, means that everything is okay, lol.

What you are describing is normal behaviour: without oil pressure the computer warns you for that fact... same with the battery!

if you want to make sure, just hit the check light, your car will cycle though everything. If it says OK at the end...you have no problems my friend.
