Hey guys new to the board here i'm looking to buy a used A4 1.8T quatro with manual tranny B6 style, any things in particular to look out for..common problems..?? And just a little curious as to how much power the stock internals can handle as i am looking to do some modifications..??

Depending on how far you want to mod the motor your goin to need to upgrade the rods. Pistons are good for someting like 700+hp but rods are around 400hp dont remember the actual torque breaking point for rods but generally if your not going to go anything bigger than a gt28rs turbo internals will do just fine. U can also make somthing around 400hp on a t3/t4 turbo and not have to upgrade rods because of the powerband of that turbo.
