Little question - B6 Audi A4 DIY Blackout Front Grille
 

Hi there,

in a nicely & well written DIY, there is a quite straightforward process for painting the chrome part of the grille.

But it is not mentionned how to remove the bottom part of the grill...

In some other thread concerning a more recent A3, I've read that I have to remove the bumper, maybe it is the same for a B6 A4 2002?

1. unscrew your license plate
2.Underneath there are 4 screws holding the plate frame onto the bumper
3. the grille will just pop right out once its removed

I did this, looks great but sand the chrome first to have the paint stick. I didn't and all the rock chips show....
