Let's See Those Tires SHINE!!

Its that time of year guys....CAR WASH TIME!:p
If you're as obsessed as me, you know that having tires that shine is one of the most important parts of having a clean looking ride.
The big question here is, what do I use to clean my tires!?!
Here are a few things I have used over the past while:
#1 "WET n BLACK" Tire Shine Spray. Looks great a first, but very messy. Dulls out relatively quickly and tires turn a little brownish in a few days
#2 "Meguiars" Tire Shine Spray. Better than WET n Black in the sense that it lasts a little longer and doesn't discolour as much. I still find it messy, but it does the trick when you're in a hurry.
#3 "Armor All EXTREME Tire Shine (lotion applicator). I have to say, this is the BEST I've used to date!:) It does take some time to put on, but it looks great. It gives the car a GREAT natural shine and its not messy at all. I love this product.

How about you guys? Agree? Do you have any products that you swear by? Any tricks??

I usually use Simonize Tire cleaner with a stiff brush (usually before I clean the wheel) and that gets rid of all the surface crud and dry rubber. On my 93 Chev Silverado, the cleaner brings out the brown lettering back to white, so I know it works.

For dressing, I use Chemical Guys Liquid Extreme Shine from eshine.ca. It is similar to the "Meguiars" Tire Shine Spray, but it does not discolour, shines nice and lasts. It says "No Mess", but it is messy. I usually soak a sponge and apply. But the little extra work is worth it.

i think the wet n black is better to use and easy to apply with a cloth as well, because you can wipe it on the tire to out evenly on to get the best looks. i can use this for over 9-10 times. but this may be messy if you spray too much.. goes on the rim and the brake dust sticks on the rims.

meguires tire spray is really good, but sprays too fast and uses up after 3-4 times per 4 tires.
doesnt stick on the rims as much.

extreme.. i never tried so i cant really comment.

I've used the Meguiars Tire shine as well. I spray it onto an applicator though, rather than the tire to keep things neater.

Now, I've just picked up some new tires, and when my 'tire guy' pulled off the old tires, he commented that I must use dressing often, because there was some cracking.

So... now I'm doing research again. What tire dressing out there clearly states that it's "good" for the rubber?

Any input?

Steve
