Leaking fluid

Audi dealership put my car on the hoist, showed me some leaking around the automatic transmission from poor sealing. This is located just behind the engine.

I'm noticing some fluid spots on my driveway when I leave for work in the morning as well.

Questions:

Is this transmission fluid leaking?

If I can't afford to have this area resealed (quoted approx $500), would keeping the fluid level topped up be sufficient in the short term?

Will this permanently stain my driveway?

What colour is the fluid?

automatic transmission fluid is the worst thing for paved driveways, it eat up tar that binds the pave together,as for topping up you can drive it for as long as you want as long that you keep topping up that is.

The stain has a red tinge to it. I assume that's the same colour as transmission fluid.

I took the car in to get the Gearbox resealed, and there was a leak on the rear differential as well.

I'm told this is normal wear and tear, from the mechanic. WTF is up with that? These leaks seem like a pretty serious problem to have! I'd expect this on the Sunfire I used to drive, but not so much with an Audi.
