How do you get to the center brake light????

Hello Everybody,

Does anyone know how to get a this third brake light ?
2001 audi a4 b5

I have tried to find screws in the trunk -none,
I have read on other sites that it should be pulled straight back from the inside, I tried this, but could not pull it off.

Anyone have any tips ?

The manual shows that it is removed by hand by pulling it straight back along the rear deck towards the front of the car. There should be no screws or clips locking it in place, it should be pulled straight forward.
