Angry Glove box needed and dampner

Hi all,

2005 Audi A4 B6 quattro 1.8t

Looking to see if anyone is parting out there glove box lid. My hinge broke and so peed off how delicate they are. Tried to glue it but no go.

Also, does anyone know how to take the headlight assembly out? I want to spray some CLR in it to see if it cleans and matches the other side assembly. I hope I don't have to take the bumper off.

Thanks

If the hinge broke on the side of the air shock, bend a piece of metal (I used aluminum) to fit the curvature of the hinge, and screw it in place. If the piece of metal is a bit thick, you might have to dremmel out a bit of the plastic to make it fit properly.
As far as the headlight assembly goes, each side is held in place by 4 torx bolts. The ones on the upper frame are the same size as the ones on the lower ones, but the lower ones are meant to stay in, and the headlight slides out to the front. Be careful not to rip apart the rubber grommet surrounding the bottom of the headlight when pulling it out, and use a bit extension with some sort of locking mechanism (or duct tape) so you don't lose any bits when pulling the extension back out. You'll prolly have to move some wires and use a flashlight to see the bolt holes though.

The notches on the bottom are the bolt locations.

As far as using CLR in the headlight, I can't say I'd recommend that, as cleaning all of it out might become a bigger hastle than before.
