You can also try by using the search button, this topic has been covered numerous times. The FWD's usually come with a CVT tranny which is the crappies engine Audi made, and he will have a lot of issues

For me, in honesty i dont dont mind FWD, i live in the city and i never see terrible storm that ice tires couldn't handle, i still speed by most people and have perfect handling.

1move says that the engines are garbage so i would call it off. Audi is very pricy to fix, trust me!

you buy an audi to get quattro! It handles better then fwd in all types of conditions. I think audi says that its somewhere around 80%-90% of there cars are sold with quattro

i have the fwd i do wish i had quattro but my wallet said no. so far its just starting off from an icy intersection that sux, other then that i haul ***.

buddy of mine has the quattro 2.0t and we are about even off the line if he doesnt launch it hard. from a roll he cant stay with me, just that bit of extra mass from the awd makes a difference.

You will easily be able to manage Toronto winters with a FWD that has snow tires.

Agreed, but would you take quattro any day over FWD?

My Audi A4 is a Quattro. Nuff said.

But honestly, my wife drives a Saab 9-3 Turbo, it's FWD and has snow tires and that car has never even come close to getting stuck anywhere. Yes, Quattro is better but FWD is perfectly suitable.

My exact reason to get FWD, its a bit better on gas from my experience and im always driving in the city. I never needed the AWD, its good to have but its not a necessity. You think you will be zooming by everyone in the bad weather, right, all the lanes are moving slowly so there is no real reason to have it in my opinion, cant get around other folks anyway.
