Default Fuzzy Satellite Radio

I inherited a Sirius Satellite Radio with my A4, already installed. Independant of the Satellite radio, I've noticed the radio reception is pretty crappy. This hasn't changed, this has always been the case. The Sunfire I drove before had much clearer reception. Yes, a Sunfire.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Is it possible the installation of this satellite radio was botched? Do Audi's typically have weak FM receivers?

The satellite radio signal is also pretty fuzzy.

Thanks!

Default Re: Fuzzy Satellite Radio

In the rear window, driver side , top is a "signal booster" which works with the factory window antenna; this is hidden out of sight by the snapped-on upper trim.
The "signal booster" is a FINE piece of electronics which works with the radio; however if that is broken or damaged (and often can crack from the heat), then the reception could be quite bad.
Inspect that and replace it if needed... simple process... expensive part: a little less than $400.
Good luck!
