Fan turn on when car started

Hey guys I have a b6 a4 when I turn my car on in the morning or when the car is still cold my fan turns on for a few minutes then turns off. I'm wondering if this is normal for our cars or do I have myself a problem

Thanks

is it heat or cold you are pumping out? Mine does the same thing for heat and i suspect it waits until the engine is a bit warmer to starting turning up the heat.

it doesnt really pump out anything. its right when the car starts so the HVAC system has not fully kicked in. From some research, it seems this is typical on some cars...just the car testing all the systems. Dosent do any damage so i dont really care anymore. haha.

CTS sensor dead, popular on B6 cars.

is this a easy diy ? is the sensor availble without jacking up the car? if so can someone please post a pic where it is located. i think this may be thecause of the fan and check engine light i have. also how much does one of these cts sensors run for
