ESP Light Help!

The esp light turns on after like 2-5 mins of driving. It resets every time i turn off the car. Why is this happening? Is it a sensor malfunction?

Re: ESP Light Help!

U need VAG-COM scaner, that's all.

Re: ESP Light Help!

Then what, like what does that do? I been reading it might be a sensor problem or MAF is dirty. I dont know exactly.

I have similar things, but lil different

when I start the car and reverse, then 1st gear and going

during the reverse and forward time, the ESP light comes on and off and on

Re: ESP Light Help!

As mentioned, arrange to VAG Scan the vehicle as it will very likely tell you what sensor or component is at fault.

Also the MAF has nothing to do with ESP.

MAF and ESP???
The MAF has nothing to do with ESP.
First scan system and check reading and pendings codes.
Then start check all ABS sensors.

Re: ESP Light Help!

I have a seperate concern. Whenever I'm driving, and release the gas pedal to coast to a red light, or upcoming turn, or w/e I'm doing, it feels like the brake is being slightly pressed here and there. Is this normal? Does anybody know what I'm talking about? I haven't made it through my owner's manual yet, and I've never driven non-domestic cars before! Thanks!

Re: ESP Light Help!

Is it a pulsating feeling? if so your rotors are warped. it will feel like the breaks are gong in and out.

Re: ESP Light Help!

It just feels like the car is slowing down a little faster than usual. Feels like the brake is being pressed very slightly. It doesn't wave back and forth very much, if at all, really. If my rotors are shot, will my display say so? Thanks for your help!

Re: ESP Light Help!

the ESP light issue is mostly likely a brake ABS sensor. I had the same problem on my last car (BMW).
