EPC Light

Hi Audi Owners,

I've got an '03 A4 1.8TQ 5spd, 100,000km and for the second time this week I've started my car and it hesitated quite a bit. It took about 3 tries to get my car started, but every time it wouldn't start the EPC (Electronic Power Control) light would stay lit up in my gague cluster. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

You had lots of rain in GTA, right?
If you have driven extensively in the rain, the module located in the firewall, driver side (almost in front of the driver, corner, next to the battery) may have taken in water! I experienced that problem and I had AutoBahn East fix it for me!
Whatever you do, do not take it to the dealer: they will use electrical tape to tape off the inneards of the box and charge you thousands... and in my case it did not stay fixed! Lesson learned at OWASCO 18 months ago
