X3 - Don't ever use WD40 near your brakes !

Depending on the age of the rotors (my leadfoot experience has shown that OEM rotors last a long time) trying a bed-in procedure could help with mild vibration. The vibration I had with my OEM S4 went away when I did this: Instructions for bedding in your brakes

Talking about WD40...my younger brother being a total noob once put Armor All on the tires of his brand new Ducati!!!!
BIG MISTAKE while taking a curve he obviously lost traction and fell...

WD 40 is good for rusted BOLTS.
Usually vibration from u brakes = new brake rotors +pads.
Make sure u have vibration from the front brakes, not from the rear ones.

it is extremely rare for the vibration to come from the rear rotors... they hardly handle any of the braking work, plus they are a solid mass, unlike the front rotors. also, just because they are vibrating does not necessitate new ones, only if they are too thin to be turned. if they have the thickness, why wouldn't you simply turn them? also, it is a good idea to properly bed the brakes as Stevelev mentioned.

You can spray them with wax in a car wash from both sides and see what happens next. The vibration should go away.
Do you have ice build up on the wheels?

I use WD 40 on the brakes in the summer to keep them operating smooth for the whole year.

Scratched rotors are not bad once the pads adjust to them.

I replaced my wifes rotors on A6 with drilled ones. They look like the ones on motorcycles.
They make a big difference, but be aware of the tailgators as they can not stop as fast as I can. This applies in conditions where brakes are used a lot, and the tailgator's breaks overheat and mine do not. Had an accident on Higway 1 where Dodge Caravan could not keep up with breaking ordeal and ended in the ditch trying to avoid the frontal collision with my trunk.
You must be the red rotor guy. Am i right.
