Default Audi Care Certified Pre-owned question...

I bought my certified pre-owned (Canadian) A4 Avant in 2006 and the new car warranty is now expired. We bought the $800 "Audi Care Certified pre-owned Vehicle plan" which covers "manufacturer-required regularly scheduled maintenance services at 85, 100 and 155 thousand kms". Does anybody know for sure exactly what this covers? I've downloaded the 2005 Scheduled maintenance intervals sheet and was wondering if this is everything that is covered. I'm mainly concerned if the timing belt should be covered at 115,000km since it says it should be replaced by then.
Here is the link to the scheduled maintenance sheet:

The only thing I am worried about is the word "regular" scheduled maintenance. Is this $800 only going to include a few measley oil changes or will it include ALL the recommended maintenance shown on this link. Thanks in advance...

No, i don't think it will
When I purchased mine, it was covered. Then apparently Oct 2009, they changed their policy so that timing belt is no longer covered.
When I went to change my timing belt in Feb 2010, the dealership told me they couldn't do it. I raised the issue with Audi Canada and they finally agreed.
I suggest you call Audi Canada and get an answer from them in writing

Thanks,
Slim

That's a load of BS - they can't just cancel the timing belt service after I shelled out $800 a few years ago! I only bought the extended warranty because the guy said that it would be worth it just for the cost of the timing belt getting replaced . They better honor the timing belt and everything in the scheduled maintenance intervals or give me my $800 back plus interest. What an effin joke - really hope they don't try to weasel their way out of this!!

Just an FYI for those with the same concerns - the Audi Care Certified Pre-Owned extended warranty DOES cover the timing belt replacement service at 115,000 km. I confirmed with 2 Audi Dealerships (in BC, Canada). My car is a 2005 (B6) and I think my year was the last year that Audi decided to cover the timing belt replacement cost (which would normally cost about $2200 including the serpentine belt and water pump). The guy I was dealing with though told me at first that it wasn't covered and was about to charge me over $1500 in parts and labor until I told him that I though it was covered by Audi Care - he called me back to tell me that I was correct after talking to his manager. Knowing how much the timing belt costs to replace makes this the best $800 I've ever spent - let's hope the car lasts 115km!

I'm not exactly sure what changes have been made to the Audi Care program since but I think the car would have to be purchased at an authorized Audi dealership. Unless the car is fairly new with less than 20,000km you might be able to still buy the extended warranty, although I'm not sure if this is only applicable to the original owner. Best thing to do is probably call your local Audi dealership.

If your car is already a few years old then you're probably SOL.
If the new Audi Care program doesn't cover the timing belt then it's probably not worth it anyways - it would be cheaper to do the regular maintenace yourself or get it done at a reputable shop.

Anyways if u are going to replace timing belt or/and water pump, I would do it right in your garage or parking.
Especially for a4 takes 4 to 5 hours.

The timing belt is covered as far as I know, but not the water pump.
