APR Stage 1 Troubles

Just got APR stage 1 flashed a couple weeks ago, and I'm having some issues. The car pulls hard in third if I build up the revs in third, but any time I downshift (5th to 3rd for example), I cant get the damn thing to pull like it would otherwise. Lots of noise, with no balls at all at 4500-5000 rpm. Also, from a standstill, it will sometimes pull great, other times feels like theres no turbo at all...

Could this be a DV issue? (I really hope it is) I have the stock DV installed right now, no other mods.

Sounds like the DV! I would replace it!

A new 710N should do the trick, right? ( i think thats the one on the 225TT) I dont plan on going anywhere past stage 1+ with this car.

ya, the 710N will do great. when you order it from the dealership make sure you do not let them tell you the 710P is better. It is the newer version but it will not hold!!!!

What is:
1) DV
2) 255TT
3) 710P and 710N

Thanks!

Re: APR Stage 1 Troubles

DV - diverter valve
225TT - refering to the 1.8t engine in the audi TT
710N/P - upgraded (from A4)/newer diverter valves used by audi

Re: APR Stage 1 Troubles

1)DV= diverter valve
2)225TT=audi TT with the 225HP engine
3) 710p/710n= the oem part number for the diverter valve. The 710p is standard on newer vehicles but fails once chipped or driven hard. the 710n can withstand more abuse.

edit: double post...we answered at the same time but at least ya got your answeres!
