A4 trailer hitch
 
Hey all,

i wanted to get a trailer hitch and i called around and the best price for a class 1 with wireing is @ uhal for $350 with taxes. the other places like rack attacka dn hitch city are asking closer to $600. So is uhal a safe bet???

PS: car is an 04 a4 qtr. and i be using it for a bike rack and small trailer.

I have an '04 A4 1.8T Quattro.
I did a self install hitch, D'alan Hitch Class I, 2,000lbs capacity, Part # 247303, $450.
Took about 1.5hrs (easy), and is great for bike rack, small utility and boat trailer.

Thanks man but am going to leave this one to the pros. am going to be towing my motorcycle to the track and how is your a4 doing with the towing that your doing ?? any tips??

I think that's the hitch that my father has on his 2003 A4 3.0Q as well. Easy install if i remember correctly, is that the one that bolts into the shell of the spare tire well?

I am looking for one for my Avant also, and may get this same one.

I would be interested in towing my motorcycle as well. Obviously the weight would be the biggest issue. I wonder how light of a trailer I can get to tow my motorcycle down to some Northern California roads.

Yep, Jeff! I believe it fits the Avant also.
Like JAudi says, easy to install.
I have towed a Motorcycle and ATV trailer, and a 1,500lb boat & trailer.
No sway and steady as a rock in tow!
When not in use, I have the small Hidden Hitch plug and you can hardly see it, but it's always there when you need it. Best buy and install I ever did!

So i got the hitch installed today @ uhal for $350 total. I have to say they did a great job and its black so goes well with my white a4!
