Don't you just love forums :p
I mean anyone with an opinion becomes hard facts...I have no idea where you get your infos!
You are entitled to your opinion and that is just that regardless if you are a fanboy of any tune, as I am very happy that you love yours

Facts however are facts and bashing any tune especially APR who is one of the most respected firms and being one of the least aggressive ones shows how pointless your input is.
ANY ECU chip remaping puts unecessary stress on the engine and its components that is why you have to be careful.
I will opt for APR like thousands already have for years you have chosen Unitorics or Revo...etc like so many as well, it comes down to choices.
Do some readings first before jumping to erronated conclusions my friend

If you never plan on modding your car beyond a chip-get whatever dealer is closest to you/provides the best service.
that being said, if you fall into one of these categories, think carefully bout your decision:

1.) you plan on going big turbo EVER, go with either revo or unitronic, preferrably uni.
2.) you plan on going no further than a big injector file and you will keep a HFC or stock cat, go revo.
3.) you plan on going no further than a big injector file and will use a test pipe/no cat, go APR.
4.) you plan on doing a K04/380cc injectors and nothing more, go Revo.
5.) you plan on going K04 with ALL supporting mods, go uni/giac-giac for more power, uni for upgradability.

UNI stage1 = 205hp 230 torque 450$ Performance Software - 2003-2005 Audi A4 B6 1.8T 163HP
APR stage1 = 209 hp 236 torque 450$ special instead of 500$ APR Audi A4 B6 1.8T - APR ECU Upgrade

Both seem very close on perfs and price.

Agree with its about personal choice, I went with APR and im Very pleased, to be honest im going to go 1+ soon , Also i do not know if other ECU, such as Uni or Revo, offer this but you get 4 settings with other neat stuff like anti theft and such with APR :P

Either way, up to you

What do you think of the infamous RP k-04? On a test pipe, forge diverter, tt injector maybe a full exhaust? That's what I'd be considering upon reading these info. But, I heard uni (and I guess apr too since they deliver almost the same stage 1 performance) is about 16,5 psi which is a lot for a little k-03, isn't it?

Re: A4 1.8t awd 2003 performance upgrade

UNI Stage 1+ = 215hp and 245LB-TQ 500$
UNI Stage 2 = 225HP and 255LB-TQ 550$
APR Stage 1+ = 235hp and 275LB-TQ 450$ special instead of 500$
Same links as my previous msg above.

I'm surprised by how similiar Uni's Stg1 and Stg1+ are, only 10hp more. Quite pointless? Or is APR really pushing it far too much for their 1+ ?
