2005 Audi Avant worth keeping?

I have a 2005 Audi Avant 1.8T 6mt with 110,000kms

I have done all the major services.

What I am wondering is if it is worth keeping. Between the maintenance, cost to repair, depreciation, etc It just doesn't seem worth it. New cars these days offer far more value than they have and the used market is getting more than average these days. Plus all the new cars (even entry level brands) have more tech than my Audi.

I am just adding up all the depreciation and maintenance and I am not far off a new car payment. Buying/owning used luxury brands doesnt make sense right now.

I would be very curious to hear from some Audi sales people.

Thoughts?

Depreciation occurs whether the car is new or used, it's just hidden once you have zero car payments.

New car should have "$0" maintenance (other than oil changes) for approx 4 years but you have the car payment and full depreciation.

Older car has more maintenance but likely "$0" car payment and less depreciation.

Decide how much total money (maintenance/repairs/payments) you are prepared to spend on your car on an annual basis. That will drive whether you can "afford" a newer car or not.

Ultimately I think the choice comes down to do you want a new car every 3-4 years or are you prepared to have 1 car only for say 10 years and then replace.

BTW - it's my intent to keep my 2008 Avant as long as possible; they don't bring new ones in with manual transmission anymore.

This sucks by the way. :-( I hate how the manual transmission option is not always available on all models.

(and yes, I drive an auto transmission rightnow, but that was out of circumstance, when the car became available to me, if i had my preference I would have a manual.)

I won't post anymore... I promise! ;)

Traded it in and got rid of it. Loved the car, hated the maintenance. I am going to miss Audi AWD.

I am sure I will be back one day. Thanks y'all

Please tell us that you did not trade in your Audi for a Kia or something like that.....
