02-05 A4 B6 Wiper

I did quite some research online for our 02-05 A4 B6 Wiper, it turns out we only have two choices:

1. OEM Dealer Insert or Wiper Blade Set

2. Upgrade to Bosch AeroTwin (with replacement of AeroTwin wiper arm)

I'm not really happy with the OEM Wiper, even I replace a new one, it still make a big noise. sth like not enough downforce pushing the wiper close to window.
The AeroTwin seems to be better than OEM Wiper.

Just wondering did anyone here upgrade to AeroTwin? and how do you like it so far? Where can I buy them from except eBay?
thx!!

I find that you need to replace the OEM wiper once a year pretty much as it leaves huge streaks but it works amazing IMO! I really like the OEM ones

i have a b6 a4. the wipers suck. A new set does a good job but they are often very squeeky, or make loud dragging noises, I hate them!

does RainX washer fluid help the squeaking?

I decided to 'upgrade' from my stock wipers to the aeros from ecs tuning. Paid a fortune in customs and shipping, had them installed at the dealer. Great in rain and light snow, no streaking and they don't 'lift' up with snow. However, in heavier snow with ice, like all wipers, there are streaks of ice.

Overall, I am happy with the upgrade.

Its not your windshield wipers that are the problem. It's the windshield that is. Like any surface (take your paint for example) when its old it doesn't feel smooth and water doesn't wipe away from it. As soon as you clean the paint and wax the car all the sudden you can wipe your hand across the surface and it's slick and your hand slides across smoothly.

Your windshield is exactly the same way. If you clean it really well and use rain-x in the fall it will work great for a few days or weeks. After that the rain-x wears off and your back to square one.

I found this stuff that a lot of OEM windshield suppliers sell and like to apply and not tell you what it is.

PPG Aquapel. Check out this demo of it. Rain-X versus PPG Aquapel: Grudge Match - Autoblog

Click on the video to watch a 60 day recap. Basically Rain-x was gone after 20 days or so.

Aquapel coats the windshield a lot better, doesn't streak and doesn't leave that wierd haze that used to drive me nuts.

As soon as your wipers have a smooth surface to glide on, even crappy wipers will perform like a champ. My wipers sucked as many of you are saying as soon as I used the aquapel (bought off ebay) my wipers were like brand new again it was awesome. Just hit up ebay and type in aquapel and you will find a lot of them. I bought 6 I think for my three cars. I'll re-apply every 6 months I think see how that goes. One applicator does one windshield.

(no I'm not affiliated with aquapel or anything, I type fast so can say a lot lol...)
