Default question on 97 1.8T transmission

Hello all, i am new to AUDI

just got a 97 A4 1.8T FWD

everything is great except the transmission,

first, if i use the regular automatic, it shift fine, sometime if i push hard, it dont shift unless i release the gas pedal, is it because of the transmission oil?

second, the tiptronic doesnt work, when i put it on tiptronic position, the gauge doesnt show 5 4 3 2 1, it works twice, but it only can downshift and shift very slow, anyone know what's wrong with it?

last, it's really hard to start, it need to take like 5-8sec crank to start it, but never fail

can anyone recommand me what to do to get more power from this engine? a chip or what, is it easy to install?

Please help me out to solve the problem, Thx
