Question noise when going over bumps?

Started to get a noise coming from the front end while going over small/big bumps. The noise sounds closest to having dead shocks. I pushed down on the front end of the car and the car doesn't bounce (so springs must be ok) when I drive the car, it's fairly stiff, and comfortable while driving (mind you its stock A4 suspension) which is not that good to begin with.. and I don't remember seeing anything leaking from the shocks.. so my question, what can it be?

Shocks?
control arms?
shock bushings?

I'm planning to upgrade to Bilstein sport suspension but until then, I would like to know what the problem is this way if it is the shocks then I can fix it anyways
with the upgrade, but if its something else I would like to get that done before or at least at the same time while doing suspension work.

All feedback is appreciated thanks.

It could be any of the parts you state, More chance that it is a control arm. Best advice I can give you , you should buy a complet kit and change all of them (unless car mileage is low). If one is damaged , others are not far ...Good luck

Is there any other signs that could point to the control arm, the car has 105,000km on it
I do notice also that when I go over bumps aside from the noise the handling isn't so good it throws the car left and right sometimes, not much but enough to loose some stability.

I have 99,5 audi just like the one hange 1 st arm at 105, and change 2 other between 105 and 124k.
got the car align 3 times , now need to change one tie rod and 2 other arms. I purchased a complete kt to solve my problem

Best thig to do would be tohave your car on a lift nd inspected by a mechanic...

Could also be a tie rod, link kit etc...You need to inspect it . You can try moving the tires wiith your hand. If you ear some noise , there is something loose

Keep me posted ...If I knew more about audi control arms , I would have change all of them at the same time

Thanks

If you have the 2.8 engine , then I have a pretty clean and new looking set for shocks and springs for sale. I cant use them for me 1.8 engine car.
