If the properties of Nitro are consisten with what I had in my previous post, I dont see how you can get more power out of it from just a regular engine - especially after just pouring some in your gas tank - and only 30% at that...
You also need to be able to add a higher amout of it to the cylinder, becuase it does not have the same power properties per weight...
basically I dont think it would work anyway... lol

Just want to mention that AUDIFORUM.CA does not endorse anything that could potentially cause bodily harm as a result of information posted on this forum.
I personally believe that mixing of chemicals and or fuels should be left up to the professionals at the race track. I also suspect that some of these backyard mixtures and addatives could cause premature engine failure for which AUDIFORUM.CA would not be responsible.

I think what is happaning, is that there is this extra atom of oxygen in the gasoline once Nitromethane is added, so after ignition there is more oxygen in the mixture.
Similar to KmNO4 and aluminium shavings mixed together for fireworks. Potassium gives up the oxygen atoms to react with aluminium when heat is introduced.
Take a look at the molecular formula of Nitro. It has 2 oxygen atoms and one gave 2 electrons to the Nitrogen, but the other one gave only 1 electron, so it is not bound permanently to the N atom.
I perfected my race fuel and it looks like this:
1. 50 l Shell Gas
2. 2L Nitromethane
3. 473 ml 2 stroke oil
4. 20 ml Acetone
I performed cold start today in the morning and I could not believe how easy the car started. I barely touched it.
What comes out of exhaust is very much different. It is fine mist that goes straight up.
After some driving the exhaust is hot and I can feel the heat when walking 3 meters from the car.
The increase in power is tremendous. The 3 girls that I drive in the morning compared my driving on freeway today to "Mario Carts", whatever this is (they are 15 year olds).
Nitro definitely puts stress on the body due to acceleration. My arms hurt in the shoulders.

You have way smaller engine and so I do not know either any of this will work for you. The advantage of having smaller engine is that you have fewer parts and the engine itself weights less, so it easier for it to get going at high RPM. I remember having 1.8 on my Jetta and that engine was a racer by itself alone.
2.8 feels definitely heavy when I want to put it to high RPM. It requires that extra second to get there.
